Mani Ratnam doesn't appreciate all films. But when he does it, there will be a point behind it and he means it from his heart. The ace director of Indian cinema on Friday heaped rich laurels on Bollywood movie 'Peepli Live'. He was speaking at the 14th Gollapudi Srinivas National Award function in Chennai, where the director of 'Peepli Live', Anusha Rizvi, was presented with the coveted honour. Mani Ratnam, who was the Chief Guest of the event, described 'Peepli Live' as a touching film and an honest attempt that had impressed him. The top filmmaker compared making one's first movie to falling in love as the multitude of emotions involved is similar. Delving the acceptance address, Anusha Rizvi said, "I believe it will be an achievement if people remember my film after five years. And today is one year since I did Peepli Live. I'm honoured to receive an award for it." Anusha was selected as Best Debut Director for 2010 from a total of 16 nominations.
